Injury Cases We Handle

Select a practice area to learn how these cases work in California, what the law says about fault and deadlines, and how we build the claim. Nevada matters are handled from our Las Vegas office.

Car Accidents

Rear-end, intersection, rideshare and hit-and-run collisions. We deal with the insurance companies, prove fault and pursue full compensation for medical bills, lost income and pain and suffering.

Truck Accidents

Semi-truck, big-rig and commercial vehicle crashes involving federal motor carrier rules, driver fatigue, and the liability of trucking companies and their insurers.

Motorcycle Accidents

Lane-splitting, left-turn and “I didn’t see the rider” crashes. We counter bias against motorcyclists and document the serious injuries these collisions cause.

Pedestrian Accidents

Crosswalk, parking-lot and sidewalk collisions. Drivers owe pedestrians a duty of care, and we hold them and their insurers accountable.

Bicycle & E-Bike Accidents

Dooring, right-hook and bike-lane crashes involving cars, trucks and rideshare vehicles, including e-bike and e-scooter injuries.

Brain Injuries

Concussions and traumatic brain injuries caused by accidents. We work with medical experts to document long-term effects and future care needs.

Wrongful Death

Claims for families who lost a loved one because of negligence, under California Code of Civil Procedure § 377.60 and Nevada NRS 41.085.

Dog Bites

California holds dog owners strictly liable for bites (Civil Code § 3342). We pursue the owner’s homeowner or renter insurance for medical care, scarring and trauma.

Slip & Fall (Premises Liability)

Falls in stores, apartment buildings, parking lots and other properties where the owner failed to fix or warn about a dangerous condition.

Las Vegas & Nevada Injury Cases

Attorney Shawn Azizzadeh is licensed in Nevada. Our Las Vegas office handles injury claims throughout Clark County under Nevada law.

How We Handle an Injury Case

  1. Free case evaluation. We review the crash report, photos, medical records and insurance policies and tell you honestly whether you have a case.
  2. Investigation and evidence. Police reports, witness statements, surveillance and dash-cam video, vehicle data and expert opinions are collected before evidence disappears.
  3. Medical treatment. We help clients get the care they need, often on a lien basis, while the claim is pending.
  4. Demand and negotiation. A documented demand goes to every responsible insurer. Most cases settle, but only when the offer is fair.
  5. Litigation if needed. If the insurer will not pay what the case is worth, we file suit in the appropriate California or Nevada court and prepare for trial.

Where We Serve

From our main office at 10960 Wilshire Blvd, Suite 750, Los Angeles, CA 90024 we serve all of Los Angeles County, Orange County, San Diego County and the rest of California. Nevada clients are served from our Las Vegas office at 3753 Howard Hughes Parkway, Suite 200-1310, Las Vegas, NV 89169. See the full list of cities we serve.

Practice Area FAQ

What types of personal injury cases does Bedford Law Group handle?

Bedford Law Group handles car, truck, motorcycle, pedestrian and bicycle accidents, traumatic brain injuries, wrongful death, dog bites and slip-and-fall (premises liability) cases in California and Nevada. The firm does not handle criminal, family or immigration matters.

Do you handle injury cases in Nevada as well as California?

Yes. Founding attorney Shawn Azizzadeh, Esq. is licensed in both California and Nevada. California cases are handled from the Los Angeles office and Nevada cases, including Las Vegas and Clark County claims, from the Las Vegas office.

How long do I have to file a personal injury claim?

In California most personal injury lawsuits must be filed within two years of the injury (Code of Civil Procedure § 335.1), and claims against a government entity require a claim within six months (Government Code § 911.2). Nevada also allows two years for most injury claims (NRS 11.190(4)(e)). Exceptions apply, so contact a lawyer as soon as possible.

How much does it cost to hire Bedford Law Group?

Nothing up front. Consultations are free and every injury case is taken on a contingency fee, so the attorney fee is a percentage of the recovery and is owed only if we win money for you. The exact percentage is stated in the written fee agreement before we start.

What if I was partly at fault for the accident?

You can still recover. California uses pure comparative negligence, so your award is reduced by your share of fault but never eliminated. Nevada uses modified comparative negligence (NRS 41.141): you can recover as long as you were not more at fault than the other side, meaning 50 percent or less.
